In business since 1981, Dennis Dobbs is the only CSIA certified chimney sweep in Northeastern Alabama. When the Tennessee Valley Authority introduced its wood heater installation program in the early 1980's he was one of only a few in Alabama certified to install heaters under TVA safety guidelines.

As the business grew, Rhonda Satterfield, with her extensive background in sales, came on board and in a few years she and Dennis became permanent partners. Married in 1991, Dennis and Rhonda Dobbs have continued to develop their business, opening a retail store, "The Fireplace", in Fort Payne that carries a wide variety of hearth related products.

Dennis and Rhonda Dobbs have developed this asset through hard work and outstanding service throughout the greater Northeastern Alabama area. They are lifelong residents of Dekalb County, who hold life and property in the highest regard. Everything sold through The Fireplace is UL listed or AGA approved and is installed with utmost care and confidence.

Dennis and Rhonda continue their education and training in the latest technical aspects of the fireplace industry by attending various industry sponsored educational seminars each year.
